Private Pay Home Care

Flexible care at home when your family needs support now.

Private Pay care gives families more control over schedules, services, and start dates when program approval, insurance authorization, or waiver coverage does not fully match the care needed at home.

When It Helps

Private Pay can be a practical starting point.

Families often choose Private Pay when a loved one needs help before an authorization is complete, when extra hours are needed, or when care should be customized beyond a covered program.

  • Support after hospital, rehab, or facility discharge
  • Companion care, homemaker support, and daily living assistance
  • Respite for family caregivers
  • Hourly, overnight, extended-shift, or 24-hour care planning
  • Support while waiting for PASSPORT, Managed Care, MyCare, or other approval

Long-Term Care Insurance

Have a policy? We can talk through the next step.

Some families use long-term care insurance to help pay for home care. Coverage depends on the policy, eligibility, documentation requirements, and approval from the insurance company.

Doctors of Hope can discuss basic care needs and help you understand what information the insurer may request. Please do not send policy numbers or sensitive documents through a general website form.

Simple Start

How to begin.

  1. Call, submit a Request Care form, or schedule a consultation online.
  2. Our office reviews the request, preferred schedule, county, funding source, and next step.
  3. Discuss services, caregiver fit, expected start timing, and private-pay or insurance questions.
  4. If care moves forward, we prepare the care plan, private-pay packet, and document checklist before service begins.
